Diseases Deadlier Than COVID-19
Although the COVID-19 virus pandemic currently ravaging the earth is giving individuals cause to worry, we shouldn't forget these diseases as they could kill in lesser time than COVID-19.
1. The Rabies Virus
Although this virus intially was thought to affect only animals especially dogs, it evolved to also be able to infect humans. It is passed principally by the bite of an infected dog. It affects the infected person's brain and makes him or her bark like a dog. There's a 100% chance of death if the bite is not treated early.

2. Ebola Virus
We all were familiar with when ebola stuck Nigeria. People were panicking because we knew how deadly it could be. The virus first stuck in 1976 in the African countries of DR Congo and Sudan, it spread eventually to neighbouring African countries. It has a mortality rate of up to 71%.

3. The Marburg virus
Initially identified in 1967 among scientist working on infected monkeys brought from Uganda, this disease has a mortality rate of up to 80%. This means there's an 8 out of a 10 chance of you dying when you contract this disease. Its characteristic symptoms are
- fever
- bleeding from all orifices (openings in your body) then death
4. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
Among all the listed diseases, this one in particular has done more damage as it is responsible for the death of over 32 million people worldwide since its inception. Gotten through contact with the blood or semen of an infected person either through sex, blood transfusion or use of sharp instruments
