ASUU to FG: close all schools till 2021

Tension has been growing over the past few weeks between the NANS , ASUU and FEDERAL GOVERNMENT over the Reopening of schools amidst the on going coronavirus pandemic . ASUU warns federal government not to reopen till 2021 NANS had previously carried out a trend on twitter against the Nigerian Government. Nigerian man builds the first Biggest online learning facility by himself

A virtual learning class with the capacity of 948 persons was built by a Nigerian Man. He took the announcement to his Twitter and wrote this below Otto orondaam Impossible is Nothing. MTN Foundation announces start of 2020 Scholarship Schemes MTN Foundation has commenced call for application for its annual scholarship schemes – Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) and Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (SSBS). The call for application-commenced June 15, 2020, and open to students in accredited public tertiary institutions (universities, colleges of technology and polytechnics) across Nigeria. Application for STSS is open to all 3rd year Science & Technology students with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (Second Class Upper/or its equivalent). The SSBS is for visually impaired students in their 2nd and 3rd year, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or its equivalent. ASUU strike: ASUU Declares another indefinite strike on Monday 23rd march 2020

Recall that ASUU had on Monday, March 9, 2020, declared a two-week warning strike. ASUU strike The Academic Staff Union of Universities has finally declared an indefinite strike beginning from today after series of disagreement with the government over the implementation of Integrated personnel and payroll Information system (IPPS) and also the government failure to fulfill 2009 agreement with the Union. The union president, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, who announced this at a press conference at its National Secretariat Abuja, said the strike is over the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System and the non-implementation of the 2009 agreement.
